Central Dredging Association
The Central Dredging Association (CEDA) aims to provide a forum for all those involved with any kind of activity related to dredging, particularly those residing or working in Europe, Africa or the Middle East. CEDA's objectives are to:
- Promote the education and instruction of its members and others in those fields concerned with dredging and dredging-related activities;
- Generate and disseminate quality information on dredging and associated matters;
- Develop or contribute to the development of guidelines and standards relating to good practice;
- Initiate and/or support research relevant to dredging activities;
- Be pro-active in relevant policy making.
The Association seeks to accomplish its aims by providing a multidisciplinary forum for persons and companies engaged or interested in dredging and associated matters. The interest of the Association includes all aspects of dredging such as: research, planning, design, equipment, design, operation and management. Activities include:
- Organisation of congresses, seminars and courses on dredging and associated subjects;
- Publication of reports, proceedings, guidance notes and similar on dredging matters (available at special rates to Members);
- Arranging lectures, site visits and excursions for members in countries having National Sections;
- Acting as official Observers at the London and Ospar Conventions.
